#iGiveCatholic Giving Day 2021

Tuesday, November 30 (Advanced Giving begins November 15 - November 30)

What is #iGiveCatholic?

#iGiveCatholic is a giving event for the faithful from participating dioceses across the nation (and the world!) to unite and donate – both online and offline – to their favorite participating Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries. #iGiveCatholic presents an opportunity for Catholics to donate and support the organizations they are most passionate about on #GivingTuesday, and for our parishes, schools, ministries and apostolates to raise funds for a capital improvement, annual fund, or another project of their choosing.

It is also an opportunity for Catholics to affirm our faith as disciples of Jesus Christ by sharing our gifts out of love for God and one another. The goal of #iGiveCatholic is to inspire the Catholic community to come together as faithful stewards and to "Give Catholic" on #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back.

What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday is an annual day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and widely recognized shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

2020 Final Results

On December 1, 2020, the Diocese of Fort Worth joined more than 40 other dioceses across the country to raise funds and create awareness for the important work being done in Catholic organizations through #iGiveCatholic each year on Giving Tuesday (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving).

2020 Results by Participant

  • $156,062 Raised (+$75,000 in matching funds awarded)
  • 907 Donors
  • 43 participating parishes, schools and apostolates achieved donations (of 46 registered)

The top three participants (excluding the Annual Diocesan Appeal) were all first-time participants in using a giving day platform. They were Our Lady of Guadalupe, Fort Worth (most raised, most donors), St. Michael, Bedford and Our Lady of Lourdes, Mineral Wells. Catholic Schools raised $36,197.30 and TCU Campus Ministry raised $8,200. Matching donations of $75,000 effectively gave each organization a 50% match of the funds they raised.
