How Gifts Are Used
How Gifts Are Used
Through the power of Christ’s love we are called to respond to the needs of others. As Catholics, we embrace the gifts we have and joys of life we experience through the eyes of faith. In gratitude, we generously share these gifts.
Your gifts to the Advancement Foundation provides funds to ministries and programs in these categories.
Outreach to Rural and Needy Parishes and Schools
Through operating grants for faith formation and youth programing, priest salaries, utilities assistance and many other needs.
Love and Strengthening for Families
Through Marriage and Family Life ministries that bind us closer to Christ through our love and respect for one another in families committed to proclaiming the Gospel.
Parish Capital Campaigns
As parishes throughout the Diocese of Fort Worth build, expand or undertake major renovation projects, they conduct capital campaigns. The Advancement Foundation provides consulting services for parishes conducting campaigns and also receives and processes all contributions made to these campaigns.
Endowment Funds for Parishes and Schools
The Advancement Foundation manages hundreds of funds named in honor/memory of individuals and/or designated for particular purposes. Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support for the named parish, Catholic school or ministry of the Diocese of Fort Worth.
Other Resources for Parishes and Schools
The Advancement Foundation team is dedicated to inspiring generosity in all parishes and schools, including development resources and training, sponsorships, scholarships for conferences, workshops, planned giving materials, financial analysis and other consulting services. A full-time stewardship and parish relations staff member assists parishes in the spiritual formation of stewardship committees and assists in annual planning for stewardship, discipleship and engagement programs.
